Antipsychotics in pregnancy and breastfeeding
Many women taking antipsychotic medications are worried about the effects of the drugs on their baby during pregnancy and when they are breastfeeding. Although it is not clear how safe they are to use, many mothers taking these medications have healthy babies.
If you are taking antipsychotic medications and are pregnant or thinking about getting pregnant, do not stop taking your medication without first discussing the risks with your doctor.
