The Alzheimer's Associations exist to improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their carers by providing information, support, counselling and education. Alzheimer's Associations are selfhelp, nonprofit organisations which operate in all States and Territories. A national secretariat is based in Canberra. A national newsletter, 'Dementia Today', is published regularly throughout the year.
